Malak Fares recently moved to Illinois from Michigan, where she completed her Physician Assistant degree at Eastern Michigan University. She began her career in urgent care immediately after graduation and has continued to focus on this specialty, appreciating the variety and fast-paced environment it offers.
She is passionate about building strong connections with patients and making sure they feel well-informed and supported in their care.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring her creative side through event decorating, spending time with her husband and their cat, and traveling to new countries whenever she gets the chance!

We treat non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries including flu, COVID-19, strep throat, ear infections, UTIs, sore throat, lacerations, sprains and strains, minor burns, work injuries, and rashes. We also offer primary care, STD testing, physicals, women's health, and management of chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Yes. Walk-ins are welcome at both Cermak Immediate Care locations — Cicero and Chicago, Illinois — seven days a week. The Cicero clinic is open 7 AM to 12 AM, and the Chicago clinic is open 8 AM to 9 PM. No appointment is required, though you can book online or call ahead to reduce your wait time.
